An inspiring and much loved Brigidine Sister died peacefully on Friday September 20th 2019 at Corpus Christi Aged Care Residence
Aged 98 years
Sr. Canisia devoted her life to education as teacher and principal in Victoria and South Australia and in her later years to pastoral ministry at Prince Henry Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.
Sr. Canisia (Dorothy) was born in Tallangatta, the fourth of ten children to Martin and Elise and is pre-deceased by her siblings: Ellen, Mary, Alma, Thomas, Lillian, Patrick, Edward, Francis and Leo. She is fondly remembered by her remaining sisters-in-law and by her nieces and nephews.
