MANGAN, Gerald Anthony "Gerry"

It is with great sadness I advise my amazing husband, my bestest mate Gerry lost his battle with cancer on December 1st 2020, aged 64 years. He fought bravely for nearly 8 years against this demon disease, positive and courageous to the end. You are and always will be the love of my life, married for over 43 years and we were so blessed to always have each other and with our three amazing kids, Brad, Jeremy, Kate who have grown to fabulous adults. Poppa to Amber, Ethan, Joslyn, Elwood and Great Poppa to Oliver - his love, patience, time and above all fun for them was never ending. Son in law Paul, daughters in law Renee and Cass - always ready for a chat, a joke, a bbq or two, loved and included. Gerry's values of compassion, loyalty, integrity, justice, responsibility and mutual respect shone through along with a crazy sense of humour. You are already enormously missed and cherished. Rest now my bestest mate, your fight is done. GDP - The bread to our Bunnings sausage holding everything together. We love and appreciate everything you are and ever did for us. Forever in our hearts. Love from your Three Amigos Brad, Jeremy and Kate Thank you will never be enough to Dr Kerry Cheong, with all her care, knowledge, kindness, and honesty, she gave us time to live the best we could and enjoy our retirement. Thank you to Gerry's GP Dr Alisdair Young who also supported us throughout this journey. Thank you to the wonderful caring staff both at Ashford and Laurel Hospice, Gerry is now pain free, in peace and probably trying to fly a plane or build one. "Go with your gut" "Always look on the bright side of life" "It's all good" "Don't worry, be happy"
