Joan passed away on Tuesday 24th December, 2019, in the loving care of staff at Widdon Kyogle with her family by her side. She was 96 years and 10 months.
Joan was the wife of Joe for 38 years and partner of Allen for 31 years. She is survived by her daughters Daphne Potter, Helen Clarke and Margaret Goodwin. Her two sons, Geoffrey and Bobby predeceased her. She also left a legacy of 66 descendants. Joan was born in Kyogle, raised her family in Kyogle and died in Kyogle. Having lived the majority of her 96 years in Kyogle I guess you could call her a Local.
The family would like to thank Kate Taylor, Trish Vidler and the wonderful staff at Widdon for their love and care. Also the many people who visited and cared for her when she was at home and during her time at the Court.
A private funeral has been held.
