AGARS, Merv. The Board, management and staff of the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (SMA) extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Merv Agars. A former State and West Adelaide premiership player and the longest serving sports editor in the history of The Advertiser, Merv was inducted into the Adelaide Oval Media Hall of Fame earlier this year. Merv's sporting achievements and contributions to journalism commanded the respect of all those who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
