Charles Stewart Smith (Charlie) Aged 69 years - passed away peacefully but suddenly after a short illness on Thursday 20th December 2018 at Emerald Hospital. Loving husband of Ruth, much loved father to Dean & Sonya, father-in-law to Jacqui and Adam, cherished Granddad and Poppa to Paige, Tyler, Ashton, Jaxon and Tiana, Great Granddad to Amarly. The funeral for Charlie was held on Thursday 27th December at St Luke's Anglican Church, Emerald. A huge thank you to the amazing and caring staff at the hospital, you were all so lovely to Dad and our family. Thank you to Rev Jen for Dad's beautiful service, and to Carl and his team at Central Highlands Funeral Services. Thank you to those who travelled from NZ, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Yeppoon. Cherie and Katrina, the catering and flowers were amazing. Special thanks to Adam for building Dad's beautiful coffin, and Tegan, your hand painted silver fern was spectacular. Last, but not least, thanks for your loving messages and to all who came to visit Dad, helped and offered to help in our time of need. Your kindness will be not be forgotten.
