Hello love, it's been a year now.
I've been filling my days with family, friends, pets and plants.
But the nights are hard, love.
When there's no rostered Sleepover, I close doors, turn off lights and the silence is all consuming.
I listen for the sounds of you - the rattling chains of the tow truck as you come home from a tow, your crazy laughter as you watch TV, the dad jokes told over and over, the 'back in my day' stories, the giggling as the grandkids try to work out why Nonno counts only 9 fingers!
To say I miss you doesn't even come close to how I feel.
Rest in peace my love.
In our memories, love remains.
