In April 2020 Brian passed away in his 88th year. Due to covid-19 restrictions at that time no public Funeral took place.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a 'Celebration of Life' to be held at Blundstone Arena, Bellerive in the Ricky Ponting room from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Monday April 26th, 2021.
