Dr. Michele J. Knobel

Michele Knobel, dearly loved wife of Colin Lankshear, dearly loved daughter of John (deceased) and Betty, dearly loved sister and sister in law to Leanne, Chris, Nicole, Anthony, Tim and Pam, dearly loved Aunty to Daisy, Harry, Aiden, Nathan, Elijah and Rose, passed away peacefully on Friday, 15 October 2021, at Montclair, New Jersey, USA, surrounded by Colin and friends.

Born in Moree, Australia, Michele was an 18 year resident of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, U.S.A. and previously lived in Australia and Mexico. Michele was Full Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Montclair State University and took much pride in both her research and her teaching in the area of literacy education.

Michele continued to display her enormous smile and contagious laugh during this time. Michele lived an extraordinary life and through her generosity and kind spirit she touched the lives of many people.

She lives in our hearts. One life lived, many lives touched.

Until we meet again, no words can describe how much we will miss her.

On Friday 29 October 2021, a Memorial Service for Michele is being held at 10am, Christ Lutheran Church, New England Highway, Highfields, Queensland
