VENARDOS ( NÉE NOTARAS), Kalliope
Was born on 8th September 1930 in Rockhampton, Queensland. Known to everyone as Katie or Aunty Katie, Katie was one of 4 siblings (Jimmy, Helen and Athena). Wife of Minas ‘Mick’ Venardos (from Karavas Kythera) mother to Angelo, Manuel and Feorentza.
Mick and Katie lived together in Blackall, Nambour, Brisbane, where they owned the Rialto Theatre at West End before moving to Sydney. At 73 years of age Katie moved to the Gold Coast where she lived until her final move to Opal Cardinal Freeman Nursing Home at Ashfield.
On Thursday 29th September there will be a funeral for Katie in Sydney followed by a burial the next day at Pinnaroo Cemetery, Brisbane.
