TORTI, Rome John Mario Now in the Afterlife The more than 5 year battle with Brain Cancer is over. Born in Moree, NSW on 1st June 1982. Rome left us peacefully on Friday 22nd August 2014. His Mother Jill will miss his embrace and soft kisses on her hair and face. "Love you Mumma!" Father Pietro (Peter) pines for his strong hugs. Wife Rachel never left his side since she met him, and son Ryder aged 4 years wants his Daddy to come home. Lost are his Brothers and Sisters Mark and Heath McPherson and Families, Damien Torti and Family, Justine Sandry and Family, Dannielle, Dominic, Pieta (dec), David Torti and their Families. Mary Wakefield, his second Mum during the last eight months gave Love and Care. So sad also are his Uncles, Aunts and Cousins, and Nonna Maria Torti. Friends and mates have lost, but should not be sad, as his Spirit will always walk, or "Skate" beside them. We should have realised someone so very Special was only given to us on Loan. He touched so many. He excelled in all he took upon himself. He gave, never took. Promised, always delivered. Rome was an "Extreme" Sports and Fashion Photographer. Dad will miss your big hugs. Your Mum will miss your kisses on her hair. Your brothers and sisters your get-togethers. They will all help to keep your memory alive for your little man Ryder. We will all miss you terribly. The big smile, that always reached your piercing blue eyes. But you are not gone. You never will be. Your soul, your spirit, courage, love and tenderness is too immense to leave. For now, we give you over to your Grannie, Nan, Grandad, Sister, Uncles and Aunt and your friend Shane. I am sure there will be Lasagne (though not as good as Mumma's), a really good Camera, and a Skateboard. Rome's people are invited to a Celebration of his Life on Thursday 28th August 2014 at 9.30am, to be held at the Dream Centre, cnr Nerang-Broadbeach Rd and Chisholm Rd, Carrara on the Gold Coast. ROME has gone SKATING!
