An esteemed member of the Society of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and son of Percy John and Eileen Rate (both deceased).
John was the brother of Colleen and Paul, brother-in-law of Wally and Alison.
Prayers for Fr John Rate MSC and sharing of memories of him will be held on Thursday October 3rd at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Kensington NSW at 7.30pm.
The Requiem Mass will be on Friday 4th October at 10am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 193 Avoca Street, Randwick, NSW 2031.
The Rite of Christian Burial will follow at 2.30pm on the same day at the MSC Community Cemetery, St Mary's Towers, 415 Douglas Park Drive, Douglas Park, NSW 2569.
