HERROD, Peter Garry

A father, a friend and a bloody good mate. Many will miss Charters Towers man Garry Herrod. His children were by his side when he left us on Boxing day. He suffered a massive heart attack on Christmas eve. Garry worked tirelessly to bring Sporting Shooters together and provided a Range for the community to use. He was a boy from the bush, a handy man to have around. If it was broken or needed repair he could fix it, some colourful words and a big hammer could fix anything and was therapeutic in any case. If he wasn't there to fix it he was there for a chat, a cuppa, a beer and a plan to change the world. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Garry's funeral at St Paul's Anglican Church, Gill Street Charters Towers, on Friday 8th January 2021 commencing at 10:00am.
