NANCY NALYIRRI GIBBS (nee CROFT)

Daughter of 'Handsome' Joe Croft (1869 - 1934) and Lily/Lilian Maria from the Tanami (dec). Partner of Jack Gibbs (c 1917 - 1996) for almost half a century. Beloved sister to Florence (c 1920 - 1989), Hinkler (dec), Joseph (c 1926 - 1996), Joyce (dec), Mackenzie (Max, dec.) Stanley (Danny, dec.) and Mena (resident of Juninga). Beloved member of the Croft, Clancy, Huddleston, Petterson and extended families.

Stolen Generations' Member, resident of Kahlin Compound, Channel Island and East Arm Leprosariums, awarded for her service during World War II, resident of Anula and Juninga Age Care, where she was a much loved resident, Sister, Aunt and dear friend to many, Indigenous and non-Indigenous. A passionate Christian.

A funeral service celebrating the long life of a Desert Rose, Nancy, will be held in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Strele Cres, Casuarina at 9:30am, Friday, 10.5.2019.
