NAKATA, George Late of Cairns, formerly of Thursday Island and Umagico, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday 13th March 2018 at Cairns Hospital. Aged 86 years. Loved Husband of Hazel (nee Mooka). Dearly Loved Father of Yvonne (dec) Patricia, Phyllis and Robert. Adored Grandfather and Great Grandfather to all his Grandchildren. Brother of Tamiya (dec), Mitsugi (dec), Ayako (dec), Yoko (dec), Hajime (dec), Tatsuko (dec). Adored Uncle to his nieces and nephews. All George's Family and Friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service which will be held at Cairns Funeral Directors Chapel, 36 Pease Street, Manunda, Wednesday 11th April 2018, commencing at 11:30pm. A Viewing will be held prior to the Service between 10:30 to 11:30pm Following the Service, the cortege will proceed to Martyn Street Cemetery.
