Aged 76 years.
Past Advertiser Newspapers Managing Director and Chairman, Editor of the Sunday Mail, The News and Sydney’s Daily Mirror in a distinguished career spanning more than 50 years.
An influential mentor and business leader, who helped drive News Corp Australia’s success. His single-minded determination was convincing as he demolished any obstacles to achieve his goals.
A proud South Australian whose lasting contribution included establishing The Advertiser Foundation in 1993 which has raised millions of dollars for South Australian charities.
He served on many South Australia boards- he was Chairman of SA Great, Libraries Board of South Australia and Adelaide Festival Centre, served on boards and as a member of BV2020, 7th Australian Masters Games, and SA’s Economic Development Board, and was a fellow of the SA Medical Research Foundation.
A great man who will be forever missed by all his colleagues and friends at News Corp South Australia.
