Beloved mother of John & David Mackenzie and Penelope Baird. Grandmother and great grandmother to their children.

Mac passed away in Sydney surrounded by family.

Mac came to Darwin in 1940 with husband George Mackenzie, living at Parap Camp in a Sidney Williams Hut. She was widowed in 1949 and left to raise her three small children. Life was hard in Darwin in those days and Mac worked many jobs to keep the family.

Mac remarried in 1960 and moved to Bagot Road, Nightcliff with Allen Wilson.

In the 1960's Mac established her own businesses - Wilson's Fashion Salon, Mac's Material Salon and Jeaney's Liquor Store. Each was a great success. Mac and Allen retired to Caloundra QLD in 1979.

Mac was an avid and competitive gardener, golfer, water skier, tennis player and indoor bowler.

Mac lived through World Wars, the Great Depression, Bombing of Darwin and Cyclone Tracy. Her tenacity and spirit saw her survive them all.

She will be sadly missed by her family.

Mac will be laid to rest in the Gardens Road Darwin Cemetery with her husbands George and Allen.
