 Died 29th September 2020

Staff of the Charles Darwin University Nursing Museum remember Joan as the first full-time and very active Secretary of the [Royal] Australian Nursing Federation for over twenty years until retirement in 1996. She raised union membership to over 80. She was also active and well respected in the wider trade union movement as well as in the broader community.
