WHICKER, Muriel 27.06.1933 - 03.06.2019

WHICKER Muriel Elsie (nee Laidler) formerly of Belair, passed away peacefully at St Louis Nursing Home Parkside, aged 86 years. Former wife to Ken. Loved mother of Susan, Diane, Scott and to Rotary exchange students Kame Oide (Japan) and Rainer Anskinewitsch (Germany). Mother-in-law to Jodie. Grandmother to Kate, Bryce, Jordan and Chelsea, and ‘honorary’ grandmother to Philipp (Germany). Daughter of the late Harry and Rose Laidler. Sister to Joyce (deceased) and Dorothy. Sister-in-law to Alec and Bob. Susan, Diane and Scott would like to thank our family, and Muriel’s friends and colleagues from U3A and Skyline Walkers who have shared memories with Muriel over so many years, and importantly the staff from St Louis Home Care and St Louis Nursing Home who provided excellent care for Muriel over recent years. Family and friends will be invited to a private gathering to share memories of Muriel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dementia Australia. Born 27 June 1933, second daughter to Rose (Stevens) and Henry Laidler, both deceased. Sister to Joyce (deceased; wife of Alec Marks), and Dorothy (wife of Robert Bettison) in New Zealand. Remembered by their families with love through the years.
