WHEELER Barbara Alice (Betty) Loving mother of Barbara and John (Bickley). Much loved Granny of John, Greg, Tim and Great Granny of their children. Dearly loved and loving mother of Shirley, respected friend of Ian Cochaud. Although you were my mother, you were also my very dear friend, confidante, critic and advisor. Words are inadequate to express how much I am going to miss you. Reunited with her beloved Len. Rest Peacefully "Bets" With love - Shirley. Thank you to the staff at the Whittlesea Medical Clinic for their compassion and care extended to Mum over the past years. A very special thank you to Dr Saka for his professionalism, care and friendship extended to Mum. Loved and cherished Granny of John and Lisa. Adored Great Granny Bet of Jack, Grace, Emily, Tom and Ben. How lucky we were to have you in our lives for so long. Greg, Leisha, Paris, Felix and Blake Bickley grieve for the passing of our dear Granny Wheeler. How fortunate for our children to have spent their early years knowing their Great Granny, and sharing those moments that they will cherish throughout their lives. She never missed a birthday, whether it was her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren, a card would always arrive early from Granny. We will miss her agile mind, her sense of humour and her strength of character. Her ability to relate to people across generations set her apart; she never saw herself as one of the "oldies". A conversation with Granny over afternoon tea was always meaningful, never dull and showed her genuine interest in our lives. She was so proud of us and we will miss her deeply. Granny, we will miss you so much but never forget you. You will always be Granny Wheeler to me, knowing you are now with Par gives me peace that you are together again. Thank you for all those big birthday cakes you made with the cows in the bog and so many more memories from growing up with Granny Wheeler and Auntie Shirley. Hang in there Shirl, we all know how great you have been through this, we love you. Granny, thanks for all the memories. All our love - Tim, Jess, Mackenzie and William. In accordance with her wishes a Private Funeral was held on FRIDAY (May 3, 2013) at the Yan Yean Cemetery for WHEELER Barbara Alice (Betty) formerly of "Roselands" Mernda. Passed away peacefully on April 29, 2013 aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of Len (dec.), loving mother of Barbara, Shirley and Lockie. Re-united with Dad
