A highly respected colleague and valued friend, a warm and friendly human being, it was my honour to have engaged in collaborative research with Grant. I shall miss his wise counsel, our discussions on academic matters and preventive dental care. We both derived great pleasure talking about our grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
