Mum, you were larger than life and we will never forget your strength, energy and generosity. Your strength and determination made it possible for us to come to a new country, and together with dad, you forged a new life for us.
You enriched our lives, and we will never forget the stories you told us about life in Greece.
You were not only such a great storyteller, but your talents as a seamstress, your knitting, and needlework couldn't be matched. Visitors were in awe of your work.
And what a fabulous cook, you were mum.
Those amazing tiropites,
and baklava, and your yoghurt (six litres of milk
everytime !).
No one tasted better.
Mum, you will be a part of our lives every day.
We were so lucky to have you, and dad, in our lives.
Mary, Tass and Meno.
Aside from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren - and extended family, and friends, and neighbours - mum also cherished the great friendships she forged in her many happy years working at Philips Industries at Hendon, where her dedication and commitment to her work, and sharp sense of humour, symbolised everything about this great lady. Meno.
