Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
TOSELAND. - Charles Albert You played life hard, now it's time for you to go. I'm not bitter as you were never a quitter. Love- Steven. Dear Pop, The lessons and the game we played, You always had a better way. You taught us to be tough and near enough is not good enough, But always keep out of the rough. The pain has gone but the love is still there, It doesn't make it any easier to bear. The time has come to say goodbye as hard as it is, We will still have a cry. Close to our hearts Love - Trevor, Janine, Lauren, Cameron, Kyle, Jacinta and Jazsmine. Dear Dad, As we are unable to see you tomorrow, Our hearts are filled with sorrow. We love you so very much, Though we never said it much. Now it's time for you to go to others you know and love, Enjoy your journey and have a beer on us. Close to hearts you stay, Love and remembered always - Leeanne, Alan, Tara and Rikki. Dear Dad, Dad, you did not want to leave us, But you did not want to go alone. But part of us went with you, The day Mum called you home. Now you are peacefully sleeping, Away from all your pain, But the love in our hearts will always remain. Love - Karen, Paul, Damian, Tamara and Hailey. Dear Dad, You never failed to do your best, Your heart was true and tender. You simply lived for those you loved, And those you loved remember. Always loved and sadly missed Love - Craig, Rachael, Blake, Mason, Noah and Zane. Dad, My best mate, With tears we saw you suffer, We watched you fade away. Our hearts were slowly breaking, As you fought so hard to stay. Thank you for the time we spent together. We will miss you so much. The games of golf, renovating, holidays and our day at the races will always be remembered. No more pain, at rest now with Mum. We love you - Gavin and Helen. Dear Pa, Thank you for coming with us on our holiday. We love you and miss you so much. We will miss our biscuits and mentos lollies. Love - Emma and Bailey.
