Took his final breath surrounded by love, on the 18th August 2021 (3:31p.m.) in Adelaide, South Australia. Aged 83 Years. Son of Vincent William Law (dec) & Doris Gwendoline (dec) Tonkin of Macclesfield S.A. Younger brother & brother-in-law to Gary Vincent (dec) & Judith Elizabeth (dec) Tonkin. Older brother & brother-in-law to Leigh Maxwell (dec) & Beverley Tonkin. Son-in-law of Arthur John (dec) & Enid (dec) Jones of Edwardstown S.A. An affectionate, attentive & devoted husband to his wife Barbara Enid (dec) for 63 years. A loving, protective & supportive father to his adoring daughters, Kim-Marie (dec), Michelle, Vicki, Frieda & Portia. A doting & delighted papa of 13 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. A much loved, admired & respected patriarch of his family in Australia and India. Rejoicing now in God’s presence & reunited with Barbara & his loved ones. Trevor was a remarkable, generous, courageous, loyal, authentic & humble man who was an articulate speaker, true leader, teacher and faithful friend. He lived an adventurous life with Barbara, serving God in Christian ministry within India and Australia. A trail blazer in his time, he is remembered for his unrelenting faith, passion & commitment to India and its peoples. Most of all he is remembered by his family for his profound love & selfless attention of his wife, daughters & partners, grandchildren & great-grandchildren who took precedence to the very end. Sadly, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral will not be held in honour of his extraordinary life. Rather, Trevor will be cremated & a private interment of the ashes of Trevor & his late wife, Barbara, will follow at Macclesfield Cemetery (Burial Plot 155 Row 2), Penna Rd, Macclesfield, S.A. Friends are welcome to visit Macclesfield Cemetery at any time to pay their respects & say their farewells. Cards, tributes & messages for Trevor’s girls may be sent to the family c/o Frieda Trueman, PO Box 6189, Cairns QLD 4870. A memorial card is available upon request. Please continue to keep Trevor’s daughters in your thoughts & prayers as they grieve his loss & miss their daily chats & hearing his dear voice. The family extends a very special & heartfelt thank you to Sheridan, the ever attentive & loving granddaughter of Trevor and Barbara, for the years of unconditional care, support & companionship she lovingly gave bringing so much sunshine, happiness & laughter into their lives. We are especially grateful to her for always putting her grandparents' needs above her own; to be there during the times when we could not. Finally, words cannot express how blessed we are to have known you as not only our darling dad & papa but as our protector, confidante and friend. Just as we meant the world to you, you will always mean the world to us. We will continue loving & honoring your memory forever. You will never be forgotten!
