THOMPSON, Gene Leon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gene Leon Thompson, 82 years old, late of Caloundra on 30th May 2025. Gene was born on January 2, 1943. He leaves behind his children Peter, Jennifer, Monica, Christine and Nada and his other family, the people of his businesses.

Gene was the Founder of Triple M Truck Bodies in 1974, has grown to be one of Queensland's iconic businesses. His other involvements have seen the growth and redevelopment of Kondalila Eco Resort, a true passion of his for the last ten years and his work with many people to support the improvement of their lives. Gene made it his mission in life, to support as many people as possible through conversations, counselling and facilitation.

There will be two services to support as many as possible in healing their grief of his unexpected passing due to complications from pneumonia, one at Great Southern Memorial Park and one at Kondalilla Eco Resort. He is and will always be missed. Till we meet again.
