THE FOUNDING CHAIRMAN OF OUR LAND COUNCILCYRIL KALIPPA (Rioli) OAM1934 - 2016The Chairman of our Land Council, Chairman of Our Land Trust, Trustees, Members and Landowners mourn the loss of a truly creative, gifted, determined pioneer and tireless advocate who managed the difficulties of changing times through generations of our people.The founding Chairman of our Land Council (1977-81); Manager and Director of many Tiwi private and Trustee corporations; of Tiwi and Territory wide sporting, health and educational organisations; a founder, developer and advocate of our Tiwi College, and a life-time promoter for children in school upon our own land.His was a long and distinguished lifetime devoted to the better lives of others and of the communities where we live.In fulfilling his own destiny, he nurtured what is best among us all.We honour and thank a remarkable family of high achievers,and thank them for a life that has inspired us all
