TEKLENBURG (Cook) Richard John William 5/5/92 - 28/11/99 Seven years old Died in Mummy and Daddy's arms at home on Sunday. Adored darling son of Andrew and Vicki, big brother to Sarah. See Wednesday's paper for funeral arrangements. The night you came into this world was the proudest moment of my life. You lay in my arms and went to sleep, I knew we had something special. You fought a fight no kid should have to fight. You never complained, you just wanted to play. When the fight got harder, you fought harder, you wouldn't give up. It got too big for a little man and I told you to give up but you fought to the end and then you went to sleep in my arms for the last time. I'm gonna miss you ringing everyday saying when are you coming home "Best Buddy" I love you Matey You're a Legend Love Daddy your Best Mate I waited this morning for you to come in for our "Huggle Snuggle" I waited to hear your voice and your beautiful laugh. I waited for you to tell me to get up cos you're starving. When you came into our lives you filled an emptiness in our hearts we never knew was there but now there is an emptiness too big to repair. When you looked in my eyes you could see my soul, when I looked into yours I saw an angel, an angel with a pure golden heart. I tried to save you Rich, I tried with all my heart, I would have done anything Rich, anything. The battle grew too big for us Matey and we had to let go, wehad to let go. I climbed the stairs to Heaven, banged on God's door and begged him to let me keep you Rich. I begged him not to take my sunshine away. You were my strength, my happiness my pride and joy, my bravest man in the whole wide world and you are my hero. You and me Rich, we are one. "Have I told you today how much I love you Baby" I do Rich, I do. - Mummy xox I love you so much Richard, you were my best brother and playmate. I will miss you so much Richie. Love from Sarah o o o x x x x
