TAFFE. _ Fr Peter Joseph. Bishop Paul Bird, the priests and people of the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat are saddened by the death of their brother and friend Rev Fr Peter Taffe on Sept. 2, 2017, aged 79. Ordained a priest in Ballarat on Jul. 27 1963, Fr Taffe served in the parishes of the Diocese as an Assistant Priest before being appointed Administrator of the Parish Coleraine, later serving as Parish Priest in the Parishes of Edenhope, Robinvale, Birchip and Apollo Bay. Fr Taffe retired from active parish ministry in 1997. May Fr Peter now enter into the fullness of life promised to all who preach the Gospel. TAFFE. _ Fr Peter Joseph. On Saturday Sept. 2, 2017 aged 79 years. Peter died peacefully at Craig Care, Moonee Ponds. Dearly loved son of Bill and Mollie Taffe (both dec.); much loved brother of Ellison, Mary and Peter Ginnane, Julie O'Brien, Fran and the late John McCarty, Margaret and Tyrrell McGeever and their families. May our dear brother now rest in peace. Much loved uncle Fr. Peter of John, David and Jenny Ginnane; Mark, Andrew (dec.) and Christine O'Brien; Michelle, Tony, Lisa and Simon McCarty; Kate, Sarah and Richard Knowles and their families. A great man who we will all miss.
