In her 102nd year. Lived in Colebrook for 96 years.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Stokell.
Loved and loving sister of Gwen Long (dec.), Lawrence (dec.), Douglas (dec.) and Oscar (dec.).
Dearly loved aunt of Mavis Butler, Daphne Gornik, John Long (dec.), Robert Long, Betty Duggan and Michael Long (dec.); David Stokell, Alison Crone and Rosemary Summers; Elizabeth Jones and Paul Stokell.
Devoted to her family, her kind, gentle nature was an inspiration to all. Witness to great change over the decades, she was resourceful, resilient and wise. She was independent, showed determination and strength of character. A lover of music and poetry, she also enjoyed creative arts and crafts.
Treasured memories will remain always.
