Stewart, William McMillan 3/3/1935 - 26/12/2018
Bill very peacefully slipped away, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 12.20 a.m 26th Dec 2018.
Truly loved by wife Maggie McNab, son Cliff and family, “young Bill” (dec.) , Meg, the McNabs, his Stewart and Davidson families in Aberdeen Scotland and many friends from years of community involvement.
A Quiet man, a true Scotsman, who fought and won many battles in his life.
“An honest man here lies at rest,
As e'er God with his image blest
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, and guide of youth,
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm'd,
Few heads with knowledge so inform'd
If there's another world, he lives in bliss,
If there is none, he made the best of this.
(R. Burns)
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a future date.
It's time to rest now Bill, and join the “heavenly” Stewarts for Hogmanay!
Goodbye Bill, we loved well. Eternal thanks for being in my life. You will never be forgotten.
