SPALDING, Ivan John. 30.5.1935 - 23.9.2018 Retired jockey Son of Hector and May (both dec). Adored brother of Bonnie Edsall. Most beloved father of Dean; enduringly beloved friend of Beverley Spalding. Father-in-law to Kate; grandfather Poppy to Merri, Emily and Elisabeth. All with broken hearts, save for the assurance that Ivan has stepped into a place of healing, wonder and delight. Ivan passed peacefully listening to a hymn sung softly and tenderly , just for him: Ye who are weary, come home. The funeral for Ivan was held at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon on Monday 1 October at 2.00 p.m. followed by burial at the Macedon Cemetery.
