SMITH, Dr. Peter

Deakin University School of Education staff and alumni are saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Dr. Peter Smith, who died tragically in an accident on 22 November, 2021. Peter brought to our community his wonderful sense of humour and genuine friendship which will be missed greatly. His research published during his time as an Associate Professor in Education at Deakin University remains widely accessed and influential in the field of Education. Peter's leadership in his teaching and research included his supervision of many successful doctoral students and he was responsible for Deakin's highly respected programs in professional education and training. We extend our deepest condolences to Peter's wife, Swee, and his family.
