SLATTERY, Sr Mary Carmel OP. On February 28 2018 our much loved Carmel died peacefully at Flora McDonald Lodge, aged 100 years. We remember her as a gifted and egalitarian leader of our Dominican community in times of great change. Carmel's ministries within the Archdiocese of Adelaide and the wider church included work in education, in parish ministry, and among older religious. Both within our community and beyond it she was gracious and welcoming, respectful and kind. Our thanks to the staff of Tappeiner Court and, in recent months, of Flora McDonald Lodge, for their love and care of Carmel. Sleep, beloved, in the God of life.
