SLATER (Sluggett). - Edna Ivy. Sept. 19, 1911 - May 14, 2006 The Slater family sadly announces the passing of our much loved and admired mother. One of sixteen children, she is survived by her sister Val and brother Syd. Wife of MacLean Halliwell (dec.). Mother to five children - Mary, Barrie, Jocelyn, Terry and Ned. Grandmother to twenty four, great grandmother to thirty six and great great grandmother to one. The family particularly wishes to thank everyone of Orbost Regional Health for their care and attention. Susan Austin and everyone at Lochiel House gave her loving care and a "home away from home" for the last three years and for that we sincerely thank them. Beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grand mother of Mary and Anthony McMahon; Maryanne and Sam, Michael, Josephine, Jeremiah and Lisa; Susan and Lyle, Jason, Shanrah and Ben; Donna and Manfred, Damien, Melissaand Ben and Monika; Therese and David, Lauren, John, Jane-Lee, Penelope and Julia; Frances and Steve, Samantha and Emirley; Veronica and Neil, Lachlan, Callan, Ethan and Gareth; Josephine and Anthony, Andrew; Toni and Rohan, Simon and Jacqui, William Elisha and Patrick; Stephen and Cindy and Caolle. Great grandson Joshua. She will be sadly missed by all of us. Farewell to our dearly loved mother and grandmother, who quietly passed away on May 14. You were an adored constant in our lives, who seemed indestructible. Rest in peace dear Gran with Mac and Rodney, in God's care. Loved and loving mother of Barrie and Elaine, adored Gran of Simone, Tony, Shaun, Carmel and Sharon. Great Nan of Brad, Matt, Kate, Finbar and Frances. Dearest Gran, You tried so hard to stay, now rest in peace. It was a privilege to have such a wonderful mother and friend. - Jocelyn (Dottie) and Tom, grandchildren Harvey and Maria, Rodney (dec.), Nadine and Mike and great grandchildren Hayley and Georgina. Loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother to Terry, Jill, Jacqui and Jonathon. You were always there as a wonderful role model of love, strength and support for us. You set such a fine example for everyone to follow. "Grandma's room" will always be a special place in our home. We are sure we be able to hear you cheer on your beloved Magpies fromthe great grandstand above, particularly in September. You will always be in our hearts. Much loved, now sadly missed mother and grandmother of Ned, Marg, Alison, Holly, Nigel, Merren and Malcolm. An era has ended in our lives, as our constant source of strength and love has now departed. She goes to join Dad, Rodney and her brothers and sisters in whose loving company she will be much adored.
