Forever in our hearts.
Oto passed away peacefully after a long and fulfilled life on Easter Monday.
Oto was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated with his wife Fran and family in 1968 to Australia for a free and happy life. He was a devoted husband to Fran for 58 years until she passed.
Oto had a PhD in Chemical Engineering and was a principal research scientist in CSIRO for 20 years. He held senior roles in several professional and political organisations and had many friends all over the world.
In retirement, Oto was active in committee roles in the Dromana Probus Club, including tours, activities, and music appreciation for many years.
During his whole life, Oto was an avid bushwalker, opera lover, gardening enthusiast, furniture maker, and embraced his role as a grandfather and great grandfather.
Oto spent ten happy years with Dorothy, and the company of her family young and old.
Oto will be remembered at the Garden of No Distant Place at Springvale Botanical Cemetery.
