SIMOUNDS, John Douglas

It is with a heavy heart I sadly announce the passing of John Douglas Simounds (aka Simmo).
Aged 77 years and 1 day.
Son to Bernard Simounds and Lois Whitehorn/Simounds.
John passed away peacefully at the Mary Potter Hospice, Calvary Hospital in North Adelaide at 8.15am on Saturday 24th May 2025, with a small family gathering around him.
Born on 23rd May 1948 at Maitland Hospital, Maitland SA.
John was very much a Navy and community minded President of both the Enfield and Port Adelaide RSLs, and Hindmarsh Bowling Club.
Loved by all his family including Scott and Shaun, and beloved Poppy to Harley and Courtney and friends.
John will be sadly missed but always loved.
May he rest in peace.
