Pirrie Kaye Shiel (nee Petherick) born in Williamstown 1st May 1940, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Greensborough on 12th April 2025 surrounded by her family, after a Leukaemia diagnosis just one month prior.
Pirrie was the daughter of Hazel (King) and Edward Gartley Petherick of Newport, younger sister to Ian Gartley, sister-in-law to Vianney, Carmel, Gwen and Judy; adored Mum of Dean, Amanda, Ian, Kylee, Tarwin and their partners; cherished Nan of Tim, Kade, Zack, Madisen, Rigby, Cassidy, Daniel, Cameron, Cooper, Jensen, Phoenix, Archer and Orlando; Great Nan to Matilda, Isobel, Grace, Reggie, Mia and Jasper; beloved Aunty to Bruce, Greg, Sue, Natalie, Aishah, Aaron, Benita and Yvette.
She was the Discoverer of our family history.
