SHEARS Dr Lawrence W. The 1954 Foundation Students of Burwood Teachers College have learnt with deep regret of the death of Dr Lawrie Shears. Lawrie became Principal of Burwood T.C. and thence the Director of Education in Victoria. Lawrie, although in his 90s, participated in all our college reunions over the years along with Max Dimmack our Art Lecturer. We will remember Lawrie at our reunion at Deakin University Burwood, in October.
