Bob was a Builders’ Labourer and a member of the Union over many years. When the West Gate Bridge collapsed in 1970, Bob was one of the 18 survivors of that tragedy. Bob’s strong and positive view of life meant he returned to work on the bridge with his mates.
Bob was a calm and resourceful man, a decent human being, who enjoyed his life, family and friends, and he quietly got on with honouring his second chance at life, while always honouring those who died that tragic day. He never missed a West Gate Bridge Memorial Service.
May Bob Rest In Peace and be fondly remembered by all those who have known him on his journey.
