Quincy Jones
Remembering Quincy Jones: the legendary music icon, producer, and philanthropist whose profound influence spanned over seven decades and inspired generations.
In loving memory of Mr Anthony Jeremia (Tony) Samuel, who passed on 24 April 2024 at 82 years of age, at home, surrounded by family.
Tony was a most loved and adored husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and nephew. He loved unconditionally, gave wholeheartedly, and selflessly endeavoured to ensure his family was protected and supported.
Born in Matavera, Rarotonga Cook Islands Tony moved to New Zealand in 1961 to pursue rugby. While there he met his wife and after some time they moved to Sydney, Australia where they lived with their children and later, their grandchildren.
Tony had two homes: the Cook Islands and Australia. He loved them both. He loved his family near and far, visiting Rarotonga in 2023 to pay his respects and to mourn his parents and siblings who had passed.
Words do not do justice to the memory of the man that Tony was during his lifetime. He will be dearly missed but not forgotten. His memory will live on through those who loved him, love him still and who will continue to love him forever.
Thoughts of Tony will be forever at the forefront of our minds, his memory with us always. We are at peace with the knowledge that he now rests with his dearly departed parents and siblings.
R.I.P papa. We will swim together again.
