SIDES, Ronald Hempton

25.6.1925–13.10.2019 Son of the late John Clifton Sides & Anne Claire of Dungowan Stn, Tamworth in NSW. Loving father of Joanne Keygan of Burnie and Grandfather of Allie Rose Curtis, and husband Ben, Canberra. Ron was the founder of the Elliotdale Carpet wool gene & was much involved with establishing a Carpet Wool Industry from the 1960’s to the late 1980’s in Tasmania & interstate. He wishes to express his appreciation to the carpet wool growers of Australia. He received an Order of Australia for his work in 1997.
