ROMANO, Joan

Aged 84, passed away peacefully with family by her side on 13/08/2018. A private service was held in Townsville on the 17/08/2018.

She was the much-loved Wife of Buck her Husband of 63 years, Cherished Mother to Vicki, Vivienne, Lesley and Sandra, Mother-in-law to Roband George (Dec'd), Nonni to Daryl (Dec'd) Tim, Josh, Robbie and Jade. Joan loved nothing more than spending time with family and in her garden at Blackrock. She was incredibly strong and brave despite battling years of ill health.

The family would like to thank Hinchinbrook Health Care staff and Dr Brad Elliot for her long term care, Blue Haven Aged Care Home where Joan spent her final months under the exceptional care of Alison, Sharon and staff who looked after her in the last few months of her life. Also thank you to Brendan and staff at Ingham Plaza Pharmacy. Thank you also to our extended family and friends for the love and support throughout this difficult time.
