RODAN Barbara Louise Was taken into the arms of God on 27 April 2018 in Melbourne, Victoria. She was born to loving parents Alan George and Louise Alinia Gourlay (nee Pickering) in Melbourne on March 28, 1934. After her father's untimely death she was adopted by George Anderson on his marriage to Louise and blessed with three sisters - Joan, Val, and Kaye. Barbara trained as a nurse/ radiographer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, began a lifelong love of travel, met Dr. Brian Rodan, explored Australia as newlyweds doing medical locums, settled in Mildura, and raised two children, Beverley and Bruce Rodan. Over the past two decades Barbara cared for, and was cared for by, her friend (Wilfred) Peter Crosby, who passed away in June 2016 in Sydney. In all of life she was loving, kind, and generous to family and friends, passing this love forward to span generations. Barbara is survived by: her daughter, Beverley, granddaughters Christine and Angela; her son, Bruce, his wife Margie, and grandsons Brian and Stephen; sisters Joan, Val, and Kaye, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand Cedar in Ashburton who showed Barbara much kindness, care, and humour.
