Born in Sinopoli, Prov. Reggio Calabria, Italy on February 18, 1933. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Flinders Medical Centre on December 5, 2019. Aged 86 years. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Rosa. (deceased). Treasured father and father-in-law of Frances and John Bonfiglio, Carmel and Ray Rodriguez, Lina and Frank Costanzo. Cherished Nonno of Rosalia and Sam, Paula, John-Paul and Sara, Montana, Nevada, Memphis and Bisnonno of Sebastian, Leonardo and Stella. Loving son of Bruno and Pasqualina Delfino (both deceased). Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Antonio and Sofia Delfino, Grazia and Vincenzo (Jim) Alvino. Beloved son-in-law of Diego and Carmela (both deceased). Loved brother-in-law of Francesca and Cosimo, Santina and Giuseppe, Caterina and Rosario (all deceased) (Italy) Pasquale (deceased) and Concetta Ortuso, Maria (deceased) and Luigi (Italy), Antonia (deceased) and Rocco (Italy), Annunziato and Lucia (deceased) Ortuso (Melbourne). Loved and remembered always by all his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Australia and Overseas. Our sincere thanks to all the Dr’s, Nurses and Carers who cared for Rocco over the years. Loving and kind in all his ways, sincere and true in heart and mind. A beautiful memory left behind, the blow was great, the shock severe, we all knew the end was near. Only those who have lost can tell the pain of parting, the last farewell. You tried so hard to stay and get well, but the Lord had your place already prepared. Our lives will never be the same again Without your smile, your caring ways. Love you always, Frances, Carmel and Lina. If roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick up a bunch for us. Place them in my Nonno's arms and tell him they're from us. Tell him that we love and miss him and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for a while. Because remembering him is easy, we do it every day. But there is an ache within our hearts that will never go away.
