RANSOM, Thomas Bentley OAM. _ Tom died peacefully on May 19, 2013 after facing a sudden, short illness with courage, dignity and his trademark humour. Inspirational to the end. He is now free again to dance joyfully on the pedals.Most dearly loved and loving husband and soulmate of Cheryl for 36 years. Much loved and respected member of the Behan family and special friend of Doreen and Jack Clark.Loved and loving only child of Thomas and Kathleen (dec) and loving father and grandfather of Scott, Lisa, Vanessa and their families. Fond nephew and cousin of the Dawes and Holmes families.Caring, helpful andentertaining mate and friend to many. A man of principle and honour. Tom had a happy, successful and interesting life full of love and laughter, sport and adventure, local government and community service. He leaves us with treasured memories and many reasons to smile and be grateful for his life. No flowers by request.In lieu, donations to the North Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.Private Cremation.
