PILKINGTON. - Alfred William, aged 77 years, passed away (peacefully) on Saturday, July 14, 2001, after a brief battle with illness. Loved husband of Lorraine (dec.). Loved father of Heather, father- in-law of Bryan. LovedGrandpa of Ashley, Ben and Justin. A kindly man, taken from us too soon, and whose time spent with us we cherish. We wish it had been longer. Resting now where there is no more pain and re-united at last with his beloved Lorraine. God saw that you were weary, The hill too steep to climb, He gently took you by the hand, And whispered "Peace be thine".
