The Board, management and players of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra are bereft at the untimely passing of our friend and colleague, David Phillips.
David’s contribution to the ASO and to the wider South Australian music scene over more than 20 years was much more than as a wonderful musician, double bass and electric bass player. His smile and manner brought immense happiness to all around him and beyond the stage to those in the audience, there to share in the joy of his music making.
He will be sorely missed but always remembered in our hearts.
Our profound condolences to Clare, sons Henry, Noah and Dylan, to David’s parents Tony and Sue, and the entire family.
