The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
To my darling William,
You are so loved by so many people...but most of all, by me. I miss your laugh, I miss your sweet face. I am so incredibly proud to be your Mum, and I am so grateful for every single minute that I got to spend with you. We are all shattered into pieces knowing that you are no longer here to laugh through life with us. I love you forever and always. My forever 14 Angel, one day we will be reunited. I just wish I could take your place.
Love, Mummy xx
Hey Mate,
I just wanted you to know how much I, and everyone else, loves you. This week I had a proper think about all the times we laughed contagiously, the hours spent playing games and watching every movie under the sun. I wish I could hear you tell me off for falling asleep during our late night movie nights at Grannies, or tell me once more that I suck at fortnite. Love you mate, and I always will. Harry xo
Dear William,
Thank you for being such an epic brother. I loved you to the moon and back infinity times, and I still do. I just want to let you know that I love you and you will always be in my heart. Love Grace xoxoxo
William passed away in his sleep on Sunday 20th August 2023, aged 14 years.
Much loved stepson of Mike and adored stepbrother of Jake, Aiden and Charli. Treasured member of the extended SHAW family for Peter, Jan, Andrew, Anita, Carter and Mia.
Taken quietly and peacefully from us all, way too soon. You will always be remembered for your unique, curious, and individual style that we adored.
Forever in our minds and hearts.
