Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
PALERMO. - Vittorio. An angel came by, saw a beautiful flower to pick and gave it to God. Nonno, Thank you for always being there for us, playing and laughing with us. You always made time to watch our shows, listen to us and take care of us. We will miss your funny sounds and beautiful smiles. We love you so much Nonno. Beloved Nonno of Luca, Kayla, James, Emilie, Nicholas, Julian, Alissa and Sienna. You said I'm leaving You never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, And only God knew why. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. Our family chain is broken now, And nothing will be the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again. It broke our heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone For part of us went with you, The day God took you home. Loved husband of Ida. Adored father of Mario and Sina, Luisa and Frank, Daniela and Stuart, Adriana and John and families. Safe in God's arms
