Michael (Mick) Kenneth O'Connor, 71, passed away unexpectedly and suddenly Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at his home in Sunbury, Victoria
Mick was born June 12, 1950 and was the 3rd eldest of the six children. He met his beautiful bride and wife of 50 years, Susan Taylor in 1969 who became his childhood sweetheart.
Mick served in the Australian military during Vietnam as a signal corps Radio Technician. After Micks military service he joined Mighty Muirs in Airport West (later known as the good guys) where he worked for 40 years in 2 roles firstly as a technician, repairing white goods and later a warehouse manager when the store moved to DFO in Essendon.
Mick was a dedicated and devoted husband, father and friend, no ask was too hard, he was the first to respond to help anyone in need. He will be sorely missed by all who met him.
Mick is survived by his wife, Susan, daughter Catherine Mallia; sons Paul and Richard O'Connor, grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Rachel, Joshua O'Connor, Jasmine and Charlotte Mallia; beloved son Inlaw John Mallia, Daughter's Inlaw Sharon and Lisa O'Connor, sisters Dawn Bride and Anne Marciniak, brothers David and Darrell O'Connor and numerous nieces and nephews. Mick was preceded in death by his parents Marjorie and Keith O'Connor and older Brother, Lance O'Connor.
Funeral Services will be announced in coming days by the funeral director C.G Moony & Daughter. We will all miss a wonderful honorable man and wish him eternal peace
