The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
NOCERA, Vittorio. Dear Dad, Nonno, you were such a loving, caring and beautiful man. Always asking about others, and putting them before yourself. You worked so hard all your life to provide the very best for Mum and your children. I remember as a young girl we would share a beer once you arrived home from work, so when I have a beer I will always raise a glass up to you, my beautiful Dad. Dear Dad, From the moment I walked into your home you treated me more like a son than a son-in-law. You always made me feel welcomed, and I will always be thankful for that. We know you are in Heaven now and you are no longer suffering, may you rest peacefully. Please don’t worry about Mum, as we will all look after her. We know you will walk alongside her. We will miss you and we love you always Roz, Claude, Robert and Leticia.
